The counterpane bed cover which inspired this design is believed to have been made entirely by Martha Washington.  According to family history, she pieced the counterpane together but she never quilted it!  This simplified version of Martha Washington’s intricate original counterpane bed cover makes a great project for beginners.  All materials are included in this kit designed for young children to learn quilting. The easy-to-stitch stamped-on pattern washes out in cold water. 

Finished quilt size is 6 ½” x 8 ½”; finished doll size is 2” x 7”.  Made in America.
