Dolichos Lablab.  Hyacinth Bean is a vigorous climbing annual which needs a trellis for support.  It blooms July through September at a time when many flowers are fading.  The flowers can be purple or white and are followed by attractive seed pods.

Plant the seeds outdoors in late spring.  Sown seeds will germinate in 10 to 12 days.

Heirloom seeds are collected from the gardens and grounds of George Washington's Mount Vernon and cleaned and packaged by hand.
