George Washington’s Mount Vernon plantation was an ambitious commercial enterprise featuring more than 3000 acres of cultivated fields, fisheries and shops.  Lee A. Boynton has created an authentic and dynamic depiction of the busy complex as it may have appeared on a late summer day in 1799.  The painting has been carefully reproduced on canvas using the best archival materials available today and will resist fading for 100 years. The flat canvas print is shrink-wrapped on foam core.
