The “States China” design used on this ornament was created for Martha Washington in 1795 by a representative of the Dutch East India Company.  Mrs. Washington’s initials are set upon a starburst in the center.  A chain enclosing the names of 15 states completes the pattern . Teapot ornament is 1 ¾” tall and 2 ½” across from handle to spout.  Includes white satin ribbon for hanging.
