Elizabeth Wooden Doll
Elizabeth is named after Martha Washington’s granddaughter, Elizabeth (Betsy) Parke Custis. Betsy’s dress and mop cap were appropriate clothing in the 18th century. She is holding a hoop and stick which were used to play a game that was popular in Colonial times. Handcrafted in Westport, Massachusetts by the Silhouette Doll Company and signed and dated by the artist, Mary Michaud.
This doll is designed as a collector’s item, not as a toy.
