This Mount Vernon glass suncatcher ornament was handcrafted in Virginia using the same methods used in George Washington's time. One of the most interesting features of George Washington's home is the cupola, complete with its dove of peace weather vane perched atop the Mansion. This final embellishment for the house was added in the autumn of 1787. Washington ordered the weather vane from a craftsman in Philadelphia, where he was presiding over the Constitutional Convention. Made in America.
