These porcelain accessories were designed especially for the diplomatic reception rooms of the Department of State and the White House. They may also be found in many U.S. embassies around the world. The designs are adapted from Chinese export porcelain, circa 1810, bearing one of the earliest depictions of the American eagle found in ceramic decoration.
The 8 ¼” by 8 ¼” shell dish looks terrific in a wall display or used as a dish for nuts or candy. The oval dish is 6 7/8” in diameter and the small lobed dishes are 4 ½” wide.
