In ancient China, the dragon became a symbol for the emperor, bestowing good fortune and protection to the righteous. The period of the emperor K’ang Hsi (1662-1722) was one of the high points in the development of Chinese blue and white wares which inspired this pattern. The classic design can be used alone or mixed with Blue Canton or other blue and white services.
Blue Dragon hard porcelain dinnerware from Mottahedeh is both microwave and dishwasher safe.
