When George Washington was about 12 years old, he copied a list of resolutions from a classical source as a penmanship exercise.  Impressed with these 110 simple rules, the young George Washington embarked on a lifetime of proper behavior in which good manners and etiquette guided him through two wars, the presidency, and the life of a Virginia gentleman at Mount Vernon.  This 3” x 2 ¼” magnet has a raised picture of Washington with his horse and the rule, “Labour to keep alive in your Breast that Little Spark of Celestial fire Called Conscience.”
