Silver was an important part of the 18^th century household and collecting charms and small silver mementos was as popular then as it is today.  

This sterling silver design was inspired by or adapted from artifacts in the collection at Mount Vernon.

Tri-cornered hats were worn throughout the American colonies.  The three-dimensional sterling silver tri-cornered hat charm is ½” tall and ½” wide.  An O-ring for easy attachment to a charm bracelet is included.
