At the age of 22, George Washington acquired Mount Vernon, his ancestral estate on the banks of the Potomac River in Virginia. In 1735, his father Augustine Washington built the original house, which was later remodeled by George Washington's half brother, Lawrence. Beginning in 1757 and over the next 30 years, Washington significantly enlarged and expanded the Mansion to its present size.
Today, this meticulously restored historic home is preserved as a national shrine.
This three-dimensional miniature charm of the Mansion is made in America and measures 1/2".
