The image on the top of this hinged porcelain keepsake box shows the courtyard of the Mount Vernon Mansion with George Washington and his family strolling along the bowling green.  The inspiration for this image is adapted from a 1792 painting attributed to Edward Savage. 

The little round box is a perfect place to keep a piece of jewelry or special coins and other tiny treasures.
