The Redbud is one of the earliest flowering trees and the purple-pink flowers appear all over the tree in early spring. The Redbud tree was one of George Washington’s favorites and at Mount Vernon they are planted on the bank overlooking the Potomac River. In the spring, visitors have a stunning view from the Piazza of beautiful pink and purple blossoms and the wide Potomac beyond.
With Redbud leaves and blossoms as his models, Silver Seasons artist Michael Michaud has created these “copies of nature” jewelry using the lost-wax casting method. These marvelous jewelry pieces are made of hand patinaed bronze with pink Keshi pearls.
The 17” collar necklace, the 1 ½” shower earrings and the 1 ¼” twig drop earrings are hand made in the U.S.A.
