The oil painting of “George Washington and his Family” by Thomas P. Rossiter which was completed in the last 1850’s is the inspiration for this wooden block sculpture.   George Washington, Martha Washington, and her granddaughters, Eleanor and Elizabeth Custis are shown in Washington’s study.  The sculpture is approximately 3 ½” tall at the tallest point, 6 ¾” wide, and ¾” deep.
