Within the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center at Mount Vernon, there are three life-sized wax models of George Washington. The figures are Washington as a 19-year-old surveyor in the wilderness, a 45-year old commander in chief on a horse at Valley Forge, and on the balcony of Federal Hall taking the presidential oath of office at the age of 57. The three faces from these figures are shown here in front of the west entrance to the Mount Vernon mansion.
The wooden block sculpture is approximately 4 ¼” tall at the tallest point, 4 ½” wide, and ¾” deep. Handmade in Virginia.
