For well over 50 years, Robert Budd Gibby discovered new and creative ways to teach people about the character and leadership of George Washington. Beginning in the 1940’s, Mr. Gibby and his wife Anne began assembling a collection of prints featuring scenes from the life of George Washington. The dozens of prints served as the basis for a wildly successful traveling exhibition in New Jersey as well as for a videotape about George Washington distributed to tens of thousands of students. This collection of 33 postcards in book format, The Willard-Budd Collection, reflects the “greatest hits” from Mr. Gibby’s extensive collection, which is now safely ensconced at Mount Vernon, a gift to the American people.
Postcards are 4 ¾” x 6 ¾”; 33 pages. Printed with soy ink.
