This Biography Lesson is written at the fifth grade level and intended to help teachers and others in presenting the life of George Washington and the founding history of our nation. The lesson contains over a dozen images, an interactive quiz and a time line that is user-activated. The lesson is designed to complement the American History curriculum and actively engage students in learning about George Washington and the founding of our Nation through meaningful and creative activities, printed and copied for educational use. Teachers will also find a lesson plan, background notes, and discussion questions. Although Washington lived during an age that called for special sacrifices, is hard work, integrity and sense of duty are still relevant today. This lesson is accompanied by hands on resources such as scratch-and-learn cards and George Washington trading cards. This will supply a class for 30 students.
