Side chair with a serpentine crest rail depressed at center and terminating in flared ears, a solid, vasiform splat seated within a molded shoe, a trapezoidal seat frame beaded along its top edge with rounded front corners and flat-arched front and side rails chamfered on their inside bottom edge, and cabriole front legs with rounded knees, ogee knee blocks, and trifid feet with three raised tongues. Crest rail is flat on front and rounded at back. Raked-back rear stiles are flat on front and rounded at back with double-pegged through tenons and circular legs and feet below the seat rail. Front seat rails are single-pegged at each joint; side rails are single-pegged at front and double-pegged at back.

The corner blocks are modern replacements. Two of the front knee blocks are replacements and are secured with modern nails.

Trapezoidal slip-seat frame with red silk damask cover. The frame itself is covered in ethafoam.
