Side chair with an arched crest rail and scrolled ears, a splayed splat with four piercings over a vase-shaped base set in a shoe, a trapezoidal seat frame beaded along its top edge, and square, straight or Marlborough front legs beaded on their outside corners joined by H-mounted stretchers and a rear stretcher mounted higher between the rear legs. Crest rail and stiles flat on front and rounded at back. Fixed shoe constructed from two pieces of wood. Raked-back rear legs with wedged through tenons, double-pegged on the back and side, and square feet. All legs chamfered on the inside corners.
