Students have the opportunity to learn from a person who lived in Washington's world with a character tour specially designed for students. Contact the group reservations office for dates and times, advance registration and an additional fee is required. Student groups can choose from the characters listed below, availability is subject to change.

Martha Washington was the first first lady of the United States and spent about half of the Revolutionary War at the front with General Washington. She helped manage her husbands' estates and raised her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Join her as she shows you around the estate and discusses the activities she performed to help manage Mount Vernon.
