This new exhibit explores the personal stories of the enslaved men and women at Mount Vernon while providing insight into George Washington’s evolving opposition to slavery. Following the grand opening, take part in Mount Vernon's annual Slave Memorial Commemoration Ceremony featuring keynote remarks from Pulitzer Prize-winner Annette Gordon-Reed.
