Go behind-the-scenes of the blockbuster movie "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" at Mount Vernon. This popular tour combines Hollywood and history, giving visitors stories about the filming and information on how the locations were used during Washington's time.
In addition to rye whiskey, George Washington's Distillery produced small amounts of apple and peach brandy. Some of the brandy was sold in the market, while the remainder was taken to the Mansion and enjoyed with guests visiting the Washingtons. This special distillation project will utilize the variety of apples that were grown by Washington on his Estate, such as Newton Pippin and Hughes (or Virginia).

With an enduring love of agriculture, George Washington was the driving force behind the design of four separate gardens at Mount Vernon. Visit the gardens he created, see some of the original trees that are still standing, and learn how he merged areas for work and leisure to create a master plan for his beloved home.

The evening begins with private tour of the Mansion and special 18th-century beer brewing demonstration in the historic area that will focus on the beer that would have been consumed by Washington. Following the tour, guests will enjoy a reception, beer tasting and a four-course menu. Each course will be paired with beers from Old Bust Head Brewing Co.
First Course: Pan fried quail with warm escarole, hen-of-the-woods mushrooms, country bread and red wine vinaigrette
Second Course: Skate fish with blue corn grits and crispy chorizo in a saffron broth
Third Course: Peppercorn crusted bone-in beef tenderloin with lentils, rosemary, salsify and veal sauce
