The interior of the Mansion is closed for restoration but we're still open and there's a lot to see and do!
Go behind the scenes to see the Mount Vernon locations that played a starring role in "National Treasure: Book of Secrets." This popular tour combines Hollywood and history with stories about the filming and information on how the locations were used during George Washington's time. Included in this approximately hour-long walking tour is the Mansion's basement and cornerstone, the setting for a pivotal scene. Offered daily, March-December, times vary. April - October availability: 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
This tour is $7, in addition to general admission.
A portion of the tickets for this walking tour are offered in advance and the remainder are sold at the ticket window on the day of the tour.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The tour will start promptly at the posted time; please allow at least 10-15 minutes to walk from the main entrance to the tour’s starting point at the Mansion Circle.
