George Washington's Fredericksburg Foundation
http://kenmore.org
Kenmore was built by patriot Fielding Lewis for his wife, Betty, the only sister of George Washington. It contains some of the most elaborate plasterwork to survive from colonial America. Ceilings at Kenmore were made by the same unidentified "stucco man" who worked at Mount Vernon. Ferry Farm was George Washington's home from age six until he reached young manhood. Mary Ball Washington continued to live here after her husband's death in 1743, with George, his three brothers, and his sister, Betty.
