Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 1/4 cup dried currants
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • Directions

    Scald milk and add the sugar and butter. Pour over beaten egg yolks. Add salt, vanilla, brandy and currants. Mix well and pour into buttered individual casseroles. Add bread crumbs to each one. Set in pan of hot water and bake at 325 degrees for 12 minutes or until just barely firm. Delicious hot or cold.
