Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
  • Directions

    Separate egg whites from yolks; set aside whites. Beat yolks until light yellow. Gradually add water beating constantly. Gradually add the sugar. Fold in the flour that has been sifted with the baking powder and add the flavoring. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the mix ture. Pour into greased and flouted 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
