Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 teaspoons chopped parsley
  • 3 large tomatoes, peeled, halved and seeded
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 drops angostura bitters
  • 4 cups shrimps (2 pounds raw shrimp)
  • Bread
  • Parsley
  • Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a saute pan melt butter and cook the garlic, parsley and tomato until soft. Add flour and cook 2 more minutes. Add cream, sherry, Worcestershire, bitters and heat 5 minutes longer. Put the shrimp in a 3-quart buttered casserole and pour sau ce over it. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake 25 minutes. Garnish with parsley.

    Serves 4
