Ingredients

  • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cup water
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 pound processed cheese
  • 1/4 pound sharp cheese, shredded
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • Directions

    Cook grits in salted water until done. Then add butter, cheeses, eggs and milk. Stir until melted and smooth. Place in 1 ½-quart casserole and bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees. Can be made ahead and frozen until ready for use.

    Serves 6 to 8
