Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans or 20 ounces frozen
  • 3 tablespoon sweet butter
  • 3 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 4 tablespoons wheat germ
  • Directions

    Trim beans and cut into 2-inch pieces. Steam beans for 7 minutes, remove from heat and keep warm. Melt butter and stir in mustard, salt and peppers. Stir and cook for 2 minutes over low heat. Drain beans and put in warm serving dish. Pour mustard sauce and wheat germ over beans and toss. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

    Serves 4
