Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 6 cups tomato juice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup finely minced onions
  • 2 tomatoes, cubed
  • 2 cups finley minced celery
  • 1/8 teaspoon TABASCO brand pepper sauce
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 2 cucumbers, chopped
  • Diced croutons
  • Directions

    Beat together the oil and lemon juice. Stir in the tomato juice, broth, onions, tomatoes, celery Tabasco, salt and pepper. Taste for seasonings. Chill for three hours. Put in a tureen. Serve green peppers, cucumbers and croutons separately in small bowls.

    Serves 8 to 10
