  • 6 green tomatoes, sliced into 1/3-inch to 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 cup flour, seasoned with salt, pepper and basil
  • Bacon drippings or oil
  • Directions

    Dip tomato slices in seasoned flour and fry in fat or oil until browned. Do not cook until they get mushy.
