Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 4 small tomatoes, cored
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small pieces flounder, sole or white fish
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • Directions

    Slice onion very thin. Slice tomatoes in half. Melt butter in a flat baking dish and saute onion until transparent. Cook tomato halves separately in a frying pan for 3 to 4 minutes. Then spread tomatoes on top of onions. Salt and pepper fish on both sides and place the top of tomatoes. Broil, dotted with butter, a few minutes until cooked through and brown on top. Cover with sour cream and broil again until sour cream turns brown in patches.
