Ingredients

  • 1 pound small link sausages
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • Directions

    Cut the sausages into 1/3’s and brown them in a skillet over moderate heat, turning as necessary. In a shallow heat-proof serving dish, heat the sugar and soy sauce, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Add the rum and stir in the sausage. Remove from the heat Cool. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours. Reheat before serving. Leftover sauce can be refrigerated and used again.
