Ingredients

  • 7 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 5 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
  • Directions

    Scald and peel the tomatoes. Place in a large bowl and mince very finely or use a food processor, exerting care not to reduce the mixture to a pulp. Grate the onion and add to the tomatoes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chill. Serve in crystal soup bowls with a sauce of the mayonnaise and curry powder mixed together with parsley sprinkled on top.
