George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens
Corporate Council

For the first time since George Washington commanded his commercial empire over two centuries ago, Mount Vernon is calling upon a select group of corporate leaders to help support the preservation of his historic estate and the education of one million annual visitors about Washington’s career as a general, president, and business leader. These corporate partners, united by their admiration of George Washington’s character and accomplishments, comprise The Mount Vernon Corporate Council.

Some things have not changed in two hundred years - business is still about making a difference in the lives of others. Just as Washington, the businessman, supported his community, so businesses today recognize the importance of investing in their community’s most important social and cultural institutions. Support from the members of The Mount Vernon Corporate Council helps fund Mount Vernon’s important education and preservation activities and, because Mount Vernon receives no government funding of any kind, support from Corporate Council members is essential to maintaining Washington’s estate as America’s foremost historic treasure.

Members of The Mount Vernon Corporate Council can take advantage of a number of special benefits. Company executives and employees will feel like “MVIPs” - Mount Vernon Important Persons - thanks to admissions passes, invitations to annual events, and the opportunity to use Mount Vernon’s facilities for business entertaining, meetings, and conferences. Membership in The Corporate Council also has its privileges. Corporate executives, employees, and the company’s clients all have the opportunity to develop a special partnership with Mount Vernon.
