Lesson Plan of the Month Contest

Do your fellow teachers compliment your creative lesson plans?  Are you on the cutting edge of curriculum development?  Would you like your Elementary, Middle or High School lesson plan to be featured on our website?  We can help!

Submit a lesson plan to us that teaches about George Washington and/or 18th century history, and if we choose it to be featured as our Lesson Plan of the Month then we will send you a packet of Mount Vernon teacher resources, including our George Washington Biography Lesson, a Mount Vernon poster, and a DVD of our latest Distance Learning Broadcast presentation.  You and your lesson plan will also be featured on our blog for educators, George Washington Wired, so that our online community of educators across the nation can benefit from your creativity and dedication to teaching history. Submit lesson plans to education@mountvernon.org, and please include your name, school name, city, state, and grade level.
