Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, has been meticulously preserved by the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association since 1858. Proceeds from the sale of merchandise are used to restore and maintain Mount Vernon for the benefit of the American people and for visitors from all over the world. The Shops at Mount Vernon are open daily, March-October 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m., November-February 9:00 am.- 5:00 pm. featuring fine gifts, reproductions, jewelry, books, toys and more. The Mount Vernon Inn Gift Shop and the Christmas Corner are located outside the Texas Gate, next to the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant. (703-799-6301)

The Lady Washington Shop, also opens daily,  March - October from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; November- February 9:00am - 4:30pm; is located on the estate, next to the Upper Garden. (703-799-8614)

During The Holidays at Mount Vernon hours are extended for holiday shopping: 9:00 am- 9:00 pm, Friday - Sunday. On Christmas Day, The Mount Vernon Inn Gift Shop is closed, however The Lady Washington Shop is open.
