George Washington Biography Lesson Available to Educators!

An important teaching resource available directly from Mount Vernon is the George Washington Biography Lesson, developed for use by teachers and students in grades 5-8. Created by a team of classroom teachers and Mount Vernon scholars, the Lesson contains a wealth of curriculum-relevant information and hands-on learning activities focusing on the life of George Washington and the founding of our nation.

The Lesson is available in a full-color, soft-cover, portfolio format, printed on heavy stock. In addition to a booklet containing background essays, lesson plans, discussion questions, and student activities, the portfolio contains a set of 30 "scratch-and-learn cards" and of 30 full-color George Washington trading cards.
