Theme Based Resources

The Education Department is designing theme based resources for teachers to use in the classroom.  This page provides classroom activities, presentations, and lesson plans specifically geared towards days throughout the year that are significant in Washington's life and to Mount Vernon.  Bring Washington into the conversation for Inauguration, Presidents' Day, Fourth of July, Veterans's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Prior to these events the link will be prominent on our site; following the event, those resources will be moved to this page.
