Save Washington's View

Learn more about how you can help save George Washington’s historic Potomac view. This stunning view from his mansion at Mount Vernon remains under threat as development threats continue to arise on the far shore.

Ann Pamela Cunningham declared in her farewell address to the Association, “Ladies, the home of Washington is in your charge. See to it that you keep it the home of Washington. Let no irreverent hand change it; no vandal hands desecrate it with the fingers of progress! Those who go to the Home in which he lived and died wish to see in what he lived and died! Let one spot in this grand country of ours be saved from “change!” Upon you rests this duty.” This statement has become a guiding mission.

Thank You for your contribution that allows MVLA to carry on Miss Cunningham’s mission by lovingly maintaining Mount Vernon and preserving artifacts from the life of our first national hero, so his example of character and leadership can continue to inspire future generations.
