George Washington’s 282nd Birthday Celebration

George Washington’s favorite breakfast was “hoecakes swimming in butter and honey.” Join “General Washington” for a sample of this meal (while supplies last) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Following the breakfast sampler, visitors can mingle with costumed characters from George Washington’s world. This event is included in admission.

“General Washington, We Honor You” at the Mansion Circle

People from Washington’s World gather with guests to share selected stories with the General, who reflects and speaks to the assembly. Selections of guest-submitted stories will be read aloud.
