18th-Century Craft Fair

Immerse yourself in a bustling early-American marketplace where 50 costumed artisans demonstrate their crafts and sell their wares. Nearby, entertainers showcase 18th-century amusements, some of daring and magnificent feats! Slave Commemoration Ceremony

The Mount Vernon Ladies' Association joins Black Women United for Action to commemorate the slaves who lived at Mount Vernon with a program and wreathlaying ceremony at the Slave Memorial. This year's event, "Remembering...the 25th Anniversary of the Slave Memorial," features dramatic readings, African drumming, and uplifting music in recognition of the slaves' sacrifices and contributions to the early formation of this nation. more
