Tickets for admission and Fruit & Cheese Boxes can be purchased at the Ford Orientation Center (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.),or www.MountVernon.org/onlinetickets beginning April 15. Early ticket purchases are suggested for this popular event. FRUIT & CHEESE BOXES Picnic on the lawn with a delicious, fresh selection of fruit, cheese, summer sausage, crackers, wine biscuits and Virginia peanuts, all ready and waiting for your arrival. Fruit & Cheese Boxes are packaged for lounging on the lawn or toting around the tent. Each box serves two and is available by advance purchase only. $24 eachThroughout each evening, guests can sample wines from 16 award-winning Virginia wineries. PRIVATE RESERVED TABLES Situated on the piazza lawn overlooking the Potomac River, a very limited number of Private Tables are available for $1,000 each. Perfect for corporate entertaining or a special evening with friends, tables seat 12 guests and include admission, a fruit and cheese platter, three bottles of house wine, and VIP table service. $1000 per table CONCESSIONS  | |
A variety of hot and cold food and desserts will be available on site from the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant. Bring a blanket to picnic on the lawn, or eat on the move while you sample fine Virginia wines. Seating is not provided, and outside food and beverages are not allowed. Designated drivers will receive free Coca-Cola soft drinks. The Wine Festival occurs rain or shine, and all ticket purchases are final. The Mansion, wine cellar, and outbuildings are open during the Wine Festival. The gardens, the George Washington: Pioneer Farmer Site, Wharf, Tomb, and the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center will be closed. No outside food or beverages are allowed at the Wine Festival. Mount Vernon reserves the right to search bags and to refuse entry to guests bringing food and/or beverages onto the Estate. Guests are welcome to bring a blanket or small lawn chair to sit on the East Lawn. Tables are not allowed. Seating is not provided. Pets are not allowed at Mount Vernon during the Wine Festival. Mount Vernon is a non-smoking site, however, at this event a designated smoking area is provided near the restrooms. Be prepared to show a valid photo I.D. for alcohol consumption. The Wine Festival is an adult event. Guests of all ages must have a ticket for entry. Mount Vernon encourages guests to drink responsibly. Designated drivers will receive free soft drinks courtesy of the Coca-Cola Company.
