Mount Vernon and Corcoran Gallery of Art Offer Half-Price Tickets

When visitors bring a purchased ticket from the Corcoran Gallery of Art, they will receive 1/2 price admission Mount Vernon admission!

With gas prices rising, two area attractions, Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, are partnering to give visitors a good deal! Beginning May 1, visitors who purchase a ticket to Mount Vernon OR the Corcoran will receive 50% off adult admission to the other site through July 27. This promotion is offered in conjunction with the Corcoran’s special exhibition The American Evolution: A History through Art, which devotes an entire gallery to George Washington.

Included in the exhibition is the famous Gilbert Stuart portrait of Washington and a life mask by Jean Antoine Houdon, who created the most accurate likeness of George Washington when he made a bust, which is on display at Mount Vernon with a History Channel video showing how the life mask was prepared and the terracotta bust created.
