Friday, Saturday & Sunday only November 28, 29 & 30 December 5, 6 & 7 December 12, 13 & 14Mount Vernon sparkles with holiday cheer during this lively Colonial Christmas event! During this holiday program, visitors learn about the Washingtons' Christmas traditions, tour the candlelit Mansion, and meet First Lady 'Martha Washington' . On the grounds, guests enjoy caroling and free cookies and hot cider around a roaring campfire. The Mansion is beautifully appointed for the holiday festivities. Lantern-lit lanes, hot cider, and ginger cookies recall the charm of days gone by, while caroling around a roaring fire and early-American music bring merry melody to the holiday season. This is the only time of the year that Mount Vernon is open exclusively for public evening tours. Visitors can purchase their tickets beginning November 1 at Mount Vernon's Ford Orientation Center. There is no admission required to visit The Food Court and The Shops, which will be open until 9 p.m.
