Mrs. Washington's Wedding Slippers & Gown Pieces on Display
January 12 - February 23, 2009
January marks the 250th wedding anniversary of George and Martha Washington. On display through February 23 in the Donald W. Reynolds Museum are Mrs. Washington's wedding slippers, which have not been exhibited at Mount Vernon in over 20 years, and pieces of her wedding gown.

The lower half of one of the nation’s most famous dentures and George Washington’s last remaining tooth are on display at Mount Vernon!On loan from The New York Academy of Medicine, the denture was the first of several dentures that John Greenwood made for Washington and is dated 1789, the year that Washington took his oath of office in New York City.
