Join George Washington's Mount Vernon and Old Salem Museum and Gardens for a FREE one-day workshop in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A Visit from George Washington: Cultural Exchanges in the 18th Century will explore the diverse cultures Washington was exposed to during his 1791 Southern Tour of the new nation. Washington and Moravian experts will highlight Washington's strong belief in religious freedom as a foundation for democracy. Subsequent tours and activities will strengthen teacher classroom practice.
